Elizabeth brings a powerful combination of legal experience and executive business acumen to the roles of founder and managing attorney of Plumlign Legal and Plumlign Strategic. 

With over 20 years of business and legal experience, she understands business.  Her diverse background spanning entrepreneurship, business executive leadership, transactional law, and litigation offers a unique perspective on modern day business challenges and provides her with a sharpened viewpoint in navigating complex business and legal matters. 

  • Legal Background

    Elizabeth has a high-quality legal background comprised of many years of experience as a business attorney, general counsel, and commercial litigator, including being a member of the litigation and general counsel team at the South Carolina Department of Revenue’s Office of General Counsel as well as top-notch law firms in Charleston, SC. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Charleston School of Law and is currently pursuing her Masters in Taxation Law (LL.M) at Georgetown Law.

  • Business Experience

    Beyond her legal practice, Elizabeth is an entrepreneur who has extensive business and organizational experience. She has worked in corporate treasury sales and distressed debt in Bank of America’s Global Corporate Investment Bank, served as Statewide Director for a higher education institution and a non-profit, held an executive position at a large multi-million dollar luxury retailer.

  • Leadership & Community

    Committed to leadership and community involvement, Elizabeth has served on various committees, including the Charleston County Bar Executive Committee, SC Bar House of Delegates and Leadership Academy, SC Bar Pro Bono Program, and the James L. Petigru Inn of Court. She has held senior leadership positions in higher education and non-profit sectors, worked with corporate and community leaders, members of the judiciary, and bar members across the state to implement growth initiatives.

  • Beyond the Bar

    Elizabeth is a South Carolina native and has lived in Charleston for over 25 years. When Elizabeth is not helping her clients, she enjoys being on the water with her husband and children, spending quality time with family and friends, real estate investing, traveling, learning, and creating new ventures. Elizabeth's love for learning new things and trying new experiences is a key theme in her life.
